The Brazilian duo were given extra time off following their exploits at this year’s World Cup in Brazil but have now returned to Barcelona ahead of the start of the season.
Daniel Alves and Neymar were joined by Argentine duo Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano, both World Cup finalists, as they returned to training with the rest of the first team squad on Tuesday morning after a month’s holidays.
The four will also train in the afternoon, whilst the rest of the squad have been given the afternoon off, revealed the club’s official website.
While Neymar will be given a thorough examination by the club’s doctors following the back injury he suffered against Colombia in the World Cup quarter-finals, new Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has a virtually complete squad with which to complete his preparations for the coming season.
