The father of Brazilian striker Nilmar has admitted that rejoining Corinthians is one of the possibilities for his son, as he looks to return to football as soon as possible.

Having left Qatari club El Jaish recently, the 30 year-old forward is in no shortage in terms of potential suitors and Corinthians, for whom he played between 2005 and 2007, are thought to be very interested.

Nilmar’s father, Nilton Honorato, told globoesporte.com: “He has a good relationship with Corinthians. He would go there and play quietly.”

“Whenever I talk to him, we don’t speak much about this topic. There’s nothing definite yet. In his heart, I want him to do what is best, whether it be playing in Brazil or Europe, as long as he’s happy.”

Italian side Inter Milan are also thought to be keen on talking with Nilmar, who had a successful spell on the continent with Spanish team Villarreal from 2009 to 2012.
