New Juventus signing Romulo spoken about missing out on the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The midfielder, who was born in Brazil, was selected for Italy’s provisional squad, but had pull out due to injury.
“It was very difficult to admit I wasn’t at my best and I cried a great deal,” he said, as reported by Football Italia. “The World Cup was a dream, especially in Brazil, but Cesare Prandelli kept asking me how I felt and I couldn’t lie to him. He thanked me for my honesty.”
Romulo has joined Juventus on loan from Hellas Verona. The deal includes an option to make it a permanent switch at the end of the season.
