Giuseppe Rossi has admitted he was disappointed with Fiorentina’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Palmeiras.
The Italy international netted La Viola’s solitary goal as they went down in Brazil, but was at least pleased that they created a number of chances, even if they were wasted.
“It is a shame about the result, we played a very good game, creating opportunities and fighting for every ball,” he said, as reported by Football Italia.
“We have found the right team spirit and our condition and this is what counts in this tour. We are happy with our preparations, we can continue like this.
“The chances created? We created many and it is a shame for the lack of goals, but I am sure that in the League we will not hesitate like that.
“My performance? I am trying to play as I do and we will see. I was happy with Babacar up front, we are all happy.”
