Grêmio have announced via their official twitter feed that former Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is to become the new head coach at the club following the departure of Enderson Moreira.

President Fábio Koff travelled to São Paulo on Tuesday morning to negotiate the deal.

It will be the third time that Felipão has taken charge of the Gaúcho club having previously taken command of the team in 1987 and between 1993 and 1996.

The 65-year-old is expected to arrive in Porto Alegre on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning when he will be officially presented to the media, according to Terra Esporte.

Grêmio currently occupy tenth position in the Brasileirão table but are just three points off Fluminense in third.
