Chelsea forward Diego Costa has penned a farewell letter to the fans of Atlético Madrid and the club and has admitted he will always remain a supporter of the club.
The Brazilian-born Spanish forward moved to the Premier League outfit earlier this month after several successful years with the La Liga club.
Costa was a huge favourite with the supporters and has thanked them for everything they did for him.
Inside Spanish Football quoted the 25-year-old after he posted the message on the official Atlético Madrid website.
Costa said: “I was very happy at this club, I appreciate everything this club has given me. Atleti has given me everything.
“(Diego) Simeone was like a father to me, like everyone at the club, have helped me grow as a footballer.
“I will continue to support Atletico Madrid, because they’ve shown me so much affection. As a footballer, I was practically made there and I’ll never ever forget that.”
