Barcelona reportedly make €40 million bid for Paris Saint-Germain’s Marquinhos
Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has been linked with a move away from Parc des Princes all summer and it seems he could be edging closer to leaving the club.
Inside Futbol report that Barcelona have made a big money bid for the Brazilian defender as they would like to add one more central defender to their squad.
The La Liga side have been tracking Marquinhos for some time and have been linked previously with the 20-year-old this summer.
It seems now they are finally laying down he groundwork to sign the highly rated former Roma ace.
Cadena Ser have reported that the Catalan club have made a bid of €40 million for the services of Marquinhos.
PSG signed David Luiz for £50 million last month and if they wanted to balance the books, selling Marquinhos would appear logical.
Barcelona will be hoping their reported offer is enough to secure the transfer of Marquinhos as they are in desperate need of improving their defensive options.
