Flamengo have become the latest team to rule themselves out of the running to sign AC Milan attacker Robinho.

Fellow Brazilian sides Santos and Cruzeiro recently confirmed that they wouldn’t be attempting to sign the 30-year-old and Flamengo have followed their lead.

According to ESPN, new head coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has told the leading figures at the Brazilian club that he would like to sign Robinho.

However, after initialing entertaining the idea of signing the former Manchester City man, Fla have decided they can’t afford his wages.

It has since been confirmed that Orlando City are in talks with Robinho over a permanent transfer but they must find a Brazilian club for him to join on a six-month loan.

If the Brazil international is to move to Orlando City, his options of a loan move to native country are slowly dwindling.
