Filipe Luís has admitted being able to work with Chelsea boss José Mourinho was one of the main reasons behind his move from Atlético Madrid.

The Brazilian left-back spoke to the official Chelsea website recently following his move to west London.

The 28-year-old believes he will improve greatly under the influence of the Portuguese boss, he said: “He just told me a bit about the city, the club, the facilities, that type of thing.

“The tactical advice will come in training but being able to work with José was one of the reasons which made my decision to come here so easy.

“He’s an amazing coach, he’s won everything, wherever he goes he wins titles so I know I will grow a lot under him and my football will improve. I’m really happy to have him as a coach.”

The Brazilian is also looking forward to linking up with several Samba stars already present at Stamford Bridge.

Although David Luiz has recently departed three others remain in Ramires, Oscar and Willian.

And Filipe Luís is sure all of them will be great friends during there time together, he added: “Yes, I know all of them, as well as David Luiz, who’s just left the club.

“I’ve played with Oscar and Ramires for the national team, I haven’t played with Willian but I know him from before. They are three amazing guys and we will all be big friends during my time here.”
