Serie B newcomers Perugia have announced the signing of Rodrigo Taddei on a free transfer.
The veteran Brazilian midfielder was released by Roma at the end of the 2013/14 season and had been linked with Fiorentina, but instead has chosen to drop down a division for regular football.
“Perugia announces that it has acquired outright the rights to player Rodrigo Ferrante Taddei, born in 1980,” announced the club, as reported by Football Italia.
“The player will be presented today at 14.30.”
Taddei will hope to make a swift return to Serie A with an ambitious Perugia side that is targeting back to back promotions.
