Atlético Paranaense head coach Doriva praises supporters and forwards
Atlético Paranaense head coach Doriva has praised the clubs supporters following Sunday’s 2-0 win against Criciuma in the Brasileirão.
Atlético PR fans weren’t allowed inside the stadium but generated noise outside the stadium and cheered the players when they arrived in the team bus.
Former Middlesborough player Doriva thanked the crowd for their support, Lancenet quoted the 42-year-old.
Doriva said: “The crowd, although not directly participate in the party inside the stadium, did their part at the entrance and this motivated us.”
The head coach also discussed his sides victory and praised forward trio Marcelo, Éderson and Coutinho.
He said: “It's a young team, with athletes with ambition. They are gelling little by little.
“We played with three strikers, but they have a major tactical commitment and it gives consistency to the team. This makes the team is compact and has speed.”
