Muricy Ramalho sees Kaká as one of São Paulo’s leaders
São Paulo's manager expects the former AC Milan and Real Madrid star to make a positive impact when he makes his second debut in a Tricolor shirt on August 2.
Kaká has returned to São Paulo after 11 years of European football. The recent arrival has been praised by his new manager who sees the 32-year-old as a natural leader whose characteristics can help orientate his team-mates in their remaining games of the season.
“I think that Kaká has to play as an attacking midfielder due to his qualities in finishing and the timing of his runs into the box. We’re going to use these qualities as much as possible,” said Muricy Ramalho.
“Rogério Ceni is our leader but is limited in his movement around the pitch. It is important that we have an outfield player capable of organising the rest of the team. Kaká has that ability and will help a lot. We need to work collectively and not individually. Kaká has a good footballing brain and great awareness.”
Kaká is expected to make his second debut for São Paulo when the Tricolor take on Criciúma on August 2. Muricy, however, was keen to emphasise that Kaká will only play when he’s ready.
