Corinthians keeper Cassio disagrees with Neymar over Brazilian attitudes to training
Corinthians goalkeeper Cassio has countered claims made by Brazil star Neymar that footballers in the country have an attitude problem that must change if the nation is to rule the world again.
The 27 year-old, who has experience of playing in Europe with Dutch outfit PSV, believes that training in Brazil is taken just as seriously as in other parts of the world: "Every Wednesday was off, and other days we practised 40-45 minutes (at PSV)."
"At Corinthians we get here at 9am and leave at noon, in addition to the work we do on the morning of a game."
"I disagree with that (Neymar's stance) because we work hard."
The 22 year-old Barcelona forward has suggested that Brazil are lagging behind the likes of Germany and Spain because of a poor attitude to the way they approach their match preparation.
