Internacional head coach Abel Braga was pleased with his sides performance against Corinthians on Thursday night just disappointed they couldn’t take anything from the game.

Braga’s team were beaten 2-1 by Corinthians in the Brasileirão after a poor opening ten minutes where they conceded twice.

Cláudio Winck pulled one back late on but it wasn’t enough and the Inter head coach told Lancenet he was disappointed with their start.

Braga said: “I disagree with the game. We did not play in the first 10 minutes but later we became compact.

“We played a great game, we lost to a great opponent, who took advantage of their chances.

“We wanted to score first, we set high, because they had not won here so we wanted to create some anxiety but we can not complain about anything in the end.”

Braga was annoyed at some of his players for failing to wear adequate footwear against Corinthians too.

It was notable that a number of Internacional players slipped and he felt more should have changed boots at half time like Wellington Silva.

“I had some things to say to my team because we knew they were watering the field and my players still slipped,” Braga added.

“He (Wellington Silva) changed boots at half time. He finally got the right boots and greatly improved.”
