New Gremio signing Giuliano has revealed his frustration after watching his new employers struggle to a goalless draw against Goias as the Brazilian domestic campaign got back under way following the World Cup recess.
The 24 year-old attacking midfielder played the entire 90 minutes as Gremio played out an incredible fifth 0-0 draw on the bounce which leaves them three points behind leaders Cruzeiro after ten games in what is an extremely congested league table.
Giuliano told reporters after the final whistle: “The frustrating result does not show how the game was. We had control and opportunities, but that’s part of football.”
“Goias did very well and were organised. It’s not a worry, but we need to start winning.”
Giuliano left Brazilian side Internacional in 2011 in an €11 million deal with Ukranian side Dnipro, but has felt the need to return to his homeland after failing to break into the national side on a consistent basis, having already secured eight caps to his name.
