Santos manager Oswaldo de Oliveira criticises the Campeonato Brasileiro calendarThe 63-year-old is a potential candidate to become next manager of the Brazilian national side
Oswaldo de Oliveira will only resume his press duties on Wednesday, on the eve of Santos’ clash against Palmeiras at the Vila Belmiro, but in an interview with SantosTV the manager of the Peixe has spoken about the pause in fixtures that allowed for the World Cup to take place.
“We are really happy about the work we’ve done. Unfortunately, this interruption in the season has compressed the rest of the fixtures, meaning that between each there is little space for recuperation and preparation.
“On the other hand, we had enjoyed a useful period in which we worked with almost the whole group. This leaves us optimistic with regards to the return of Santos,” said the 63-year-old former Botafogo manager.
