Arena Corinthians set for sell-out ahead of Internacional game
Corinthians have already sold 20,000 tickets for their Brasileirao encounter with Internacional on Thursday as their stadium gets used for the first time since the World Cup, when it hosted six games in the tournament, including the opener between Brazil and Croatia.
The Arena Corinthians holds over 45,000 and the game is expected to be a sell-out between two teams near the top of the league.
Before the World Cup break, both sides were level on 16 points after nine games, Corinthians being ahead courtesy of a better goal differential of three, with four wins apiece.
During the World Cup, Arena Corinthians had a capacity of 66,000, but the stadium has been amended to its pre-competition seating arrangement.
It was constructed between 2011 and 2014 at a cost of almost R$1 billion and Corinthians are now the sole tenants.
