The former Brazil coach and captain has been comparing the team’s 2014 World Cup exit with the quarter-final defeat in South Africa four years ago, when he was in charge.
Dunga has pounced on the opportunity to show his reign in a better light.
He told beIN Sports: “Although Brazil did not reach the semi-finals in 2006 and 2010, it never had a disaster! People may remember that the team did not qualify, but will never forget the defeat with a big result, which is unacceptable for great teams like Brazil.”
