The Brazil defender has admitted that replacing Luiz Felipe Scolari could benefit the team.

“I think a foreign coach can add."m Not campaigning for a coach to come, but I think it would be no demerit, because it would add different things to our football," said the athlete, quoted by the newspaper Folha de São Paulo.
“I think the big trend is to recognize that someone is better than you. Demerit is not recognizing that someone is better than you, either in profession football, or any other,"

Alves told Folha de São Paulo: “I think a foreign coach can add [to the Brazil team]. I"m not campaigning for a coach to come, but I think it would be no bad thing, because it would add different things to our football.

“I think the big progression is to recognize that someone is better than you. It is no bad thing recognising that someone is better than you, either in the football profession, or any other."
