Brazilian legend Pele, who won the World Cup an incredible three times in a glittering career, has confirmed that he will be in attendance at Sunday’s Final between Germany and Argentina at the Maracana.
The man many call the greatest to ever play the game took to his Twitter account after the match and posted: “Congratulations on Argentina’s big win today!”
“I am very anxious to go to Maracana on Sunday to see the Final between two great footballing nations.”
His countrymen will have to make do with a third-place play-off the day before against Holland in Brasilia after the Dutch were knocked out on penalties last night in a dire game with Argentina.
