Romario has painted a sorrowful picture of Brazil following the national team"s 7-1 World Cup defeat to Germany.
"Dilma [Rousseff] has to hand the World Cup to another team. This gesture will be the picture of value that she gave to our football in recent years!"
With bitterness, Romario said: "They [the World Cup winners] will take the cup and we will be with our overpriced stadiums and no material legacy, because [it is] immaterial, to show the world that with all our difficulties, we are a happy people.
"This is the cup of shame," said Romario, in an open letter.
