AC Milan captain Riccardo Montolivio has wished former team mate Kaká good luck following his decision to exit the San Siro for a move to America.

The Brazilian playmaker confirmed recently that he would leave Italy and move to MLS CLUB Orlando City, via a short term switch to Brazil.

Montolivio spoke to Football Italia about the transfer and praised the 32-year-old before admitting it is probably the best decision for all parties involved.

He said: “Ricky is part of the history of Milan, I’m sorry he has left.

“But I think the best decision for everyone has been taken. I wish him good luck.”

Kaká has been an iconic figure for the Rossoneri and will certainly be missed by their fans despite not reaching his previous heights of his first spell with the club last season.

The playmaker can now prepare himself for the MLS once his spell with São Paulo ends safe in the knowledge that he’ll always remain in Milan hearts.
