Neymar has confirmed that he is fit to face Colombia in Brazil’s quarter-final clash at the Castelão.
The Barcelona forward had been considered a doubt for the contest, but insisted today that he is ready to play.
“I am able to play against Colombia. I have no pain,” he said, as reported by The Guardian. “I feel very well in training and rest assured, I’m fine.”
Neymar could find himself lining up as part of a revised 3-5-2 formation. With Luiz Gustavo suspended, Brazil Head Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has been experimenting with the system and may decide to move away from his preferred 4-2-3-1.
