The Brazil-born striker has completed his move from Atlético Madrid to Chelsea, both clubs have confirmed.
The deal was agreed after Chelsea met the £32 million buy-out clause in the 25-year-old forward’s contract.
Costa scored 27 goals for Atlético last season, but failed to find the back of the net for Spain at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
