Argentina superstar Lionel Messi believes another World Cup begins now the Albicelestes are through to the knock-out phase.

The Barcelona ace helped inspire his nation to three wins in Group F and they now face Switzerland in the round of 16 at São Paulo today.

The 27-year-old insists another competition starts for he and his international colleagues now.

Football Espana quoted Messi, after he posted a message on his official Facebook page.

“I’m happy that we qualified for the last 16 as group winners, but now another World Cup begins,” Messi wrote.

“We have great desire to achieve something amazing.”

Messi has four goals thus far in the 2014 World Cup and has started to dazzle in this competition like he does so often for Barcelona.

And the former Ballon d’Or winner will hope to take Argentina all the way and spoil the Brazil party.
