Sao Paulo head coach Muricy Ramalho has confirmed that the club have recalled Rafael Toloi from his loan spell at Italian side AS Roma, as they prepare for the resumption of the domestic league on July 16, following the completion of the World Cup.

Ahead of Tricolor’s game with Bahia, Muricy says he was eager to have a settled squad as his fourth-placed side look to kick on for the rest of the year: “With the return of Toloi we will not invest anything.”

“We are doing what Sao Paulo has always done- hire well. I had to work hard to fix it. Denilson is also training well and Rodrigo Caio too, so the team does not need more hiring.”

Toloi played five times in his loan spell at Roma and returns to a squad that will allegedly boast the talents of former Selecao star Kaka, who could form part of a ‘Dream Team’ attacking line-up alongside Paulo Henrique Ganso, Alexandre Pato and Alan Kardec.
