Barcelona defender Adriano has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A side AS Roma, although the playert’s agent has been quick to dismiss any transfer in the immediate future.

The Brazil international, who joined Barca from Sevilla in 2010 for €9.5 million, has long been linked with a move away from the Catalans, especialy with Jordi Alba being the incumbent wing back for the Spaniards.

Yet agent Paulo Affonso has told Corriere dello Sport : “For now we have not been officially contacted by any club.”

“Reports of Roma’s interest have come to us through the papers. Roma are a great team. But so are Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli.”

New Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is believed to want Adriano to stay at the Camp Nou, but will not stand in the 29 year-old’s way if he wishes to pursue first-team football elsewhere.
