Brazil captain Thiago Silva believes international team mate Neymar can become as good as Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
The Barcelona duo are all set to make this their World Cup with the pair level at the top goalscorers chart with four goals each having put in several dazzling displays.
When the Paris Saint-Germain skipper spoke to the media recently, he praised his 22-year-old compatriot.
Goal.com quoted Silva, he said: “Messi is one of the best strikers in the world, one of the very best players.
“But Neymar is growing into a crescendo and he will be soon considered one of the best in the world.”
When pushed on whether Neymar could become as good as Messi, Silva had no doubt that the former Santos star could achieve a similar level.
The Brazilian added: “Technically, he has all the skills. Messi is one of the best of all, but I’m sure Neymar will get to that level.”
