Flamengo are one of eight clubs who have enquired about loaning Internazionale midfielder Rubén Botta, according to reports.

Respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Mengão, Torino, Cagliari, Independiente, Mainz 05, Benfica, Parma and Beşiktaş are all keen on securing a temporary agreement for the 24 year-old.

Botta joined Inter from Tigre last summer, but due to his recovery from a serious knee ligament injury and non-EU registration issues, he spent the first half of the 2013/14 season loan at Livorno.

Botta failed to make an appearance for the Amaranto and returned to Inter in January. The San Juan native would go on to feature ten times, but only once as a starter.

As a result of his lack of playing time, Inter are seemingly willing to let Botta go to a club where he will be a regular and can make a complete return to full fitness.

Where Flamengo stand in the pecking order is currently unclear, but a creative midfielder of Botta’s capabilities would be a welcome addition to a side that is currently 19th in the Brasileirão and has managed just four goals in nine matches.
