Brazil midfielder Hernanes has hailed Neymar and described the young attacker as the difference.

The 22-year-old scored twice on Monday as the host nation defeated Cameroon 4-1 to finish top of Group A.

The Barcelona ace scored twice in the first half to inspire Brazil to victory and Hernanes was full of praise for the forward.

The Internazionale man told Goal: “Neymar is an incredible player. He makes the difference with his individual quality.

“Fortunately for us, he is on our team. It’s up to our opponents to come up with a way to stop him.”

Hernanes didn’t enter the field against Cameroon but discussed the difficult moments Brazil faced against the Africans.

The Inter midfielder felt Seleção were much improved after the break, he added: “It is always difficult to play against African teams, because they are very strong physically. It was our responsibility to win here.

“We had one or two difficult moments in the first half, but after the break we got into our rhythm. That’s our quality and in the end we managed to make the difference.”
