Reports in the Italian press have suggested that Alexandre Pato could cut short his stay at Sao Paulo and move back to Italy, with reigning champions Juventus said to be interested in making the transfer happen.

Brazilian portal Lance! have continued a thread in Gazzetta Dello Sport in which the former AC Milan forward has been pn-pointed by Juve head coach Antonio Conte as “international standard, but low cost.”

Pato has yet to settle at Sao Paulo since a loan move from Corinthians and previously enjoyed six years in Italy, winning the Serie A title whilst at Milan.

Capped 27 times by Brazil, the 24 year-old will still hold a fair transfer fee should Juventus want to make their interest more serious, although it is claimed they are willing to spend up to €18 million on a new forward ahead of the coming European season.
