Scolari: Neymar is to Brazil what Messi is to ArgentinaNeymar has already played over 50 times for Brazil
Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has bestowed the highest praise for his team's talisman in the wake of their 4-1 win over Cameroon last night in Brasilia- a result which ensured the World Cup hosts would finish top of Group A.
Scolari's men, who played better than in the previous stalemate with Mexico, had Neymar to thank once again after his brace helped them reach seven group points, and the boss told his psot-match press conference: "Brazil depend on Neymar like Argentina depend on Messi."
"They are players who are different and can make the difference for their respective teams."
"Neymar is a point of reference to Brazil, like Messi is to Argentina."
The Barcelona pair have certainly pulled their respective teams thorugh some sticky points at the tournament so far, Neymar's four goals leaving him as the current competition top scorer and moving him into fifth in Brazil's all-time charts with 35 international goals.
