Carlos Alberto Parreira believes that the Tottenham midfielder can recreate the performances that made him stand out at last summer"s Confederations Cup.
The Brazilian coach was keen to emphasise that Paulinho was not fully fit coming into this World Cup.
Parreira told Esporte Espetacular: “Paulinho had a short preparation period and he was still out of one of the two warm-up games [against Panama]. But certainly his improvement from the first game [against Croatia] to the second [against Mexico] was pronounced."
“And we expect that for the third, against Cameroon, he is already close to that level of the Confederations Cup."
