Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has acknowledged that Barcelona star Neymar can’t win the World Cup for his country by himself.

The 22-year-old is under immense pressure to deliver Brazil the title and though he scored twice in their opening match against Croatia, he was less impressive against Mexico.

Much has been made of the enormous weight of expectation on his shoulders and Scolari has been quick to play down the talk of pressure on his young star.

ABC news quoted the Brazil head coach, he said: “Neymar can’t win by himself and he can’t lose by himself.

“He is part of a group. At times he will show that he can be greater than other players, and we all know that, the players know that. But he is part of a group. He wins with the group and he loses with the group.”

Scolari will hope that Neymar and his “group” can put on a show tomorrow as they entertain Cameroon in their final Group A fixture.
