Brazil meet Cameroon in the country’s capital city at the Estadio Nacional, safe in the knowledge that a convincing win would see them win Group A and avoid a second round encounter with Netherlands, who so dramatically destroyed current holders Spain in the tournament’s third match.

For Cameroon, the 2014 is over bar the shouting, after consecutive defeats to Mexico and Croatia left them without a point with one fixture remaining.

The hosts will be aiming to bounce back from a forgettable draw with Mexico in Fortaleza, but will be heartened by the fact that other competition favourites have struggled as well; Germany, Italy, Argentina and Belgium have all found the going tough against so-called ‘lesser’ opposition.

Any changes to head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s starting XI are yet to be made public, but it appears that midfielder Paulinho could miss out. Striker Fred, who has disappointed so far, is also under threat of the axe from Scolari.

Sambafoot will provide live match commentary from 2000 GMT, with the game kicking off an hour later.

Predicted Starting XI: Julio Cesar; Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo; Luiz Gustavo, Hernanes; Hulk, Oscar, Neymar, Fred.
