Young Santos forward Victor Andrade will not have his contract renewed at the club and is free to leave Vla Belmiro in September, according to reports on lancenet.com.

The 18 year-old, who has made over 20 appearances for Peixe, has previously been linked with a transfer to Palmeiras and even a move to Europe, where he started his youth career with Benfica.

He helped win the Recopa Sudamerica in 2012 for the Sao Paulo-based team and is thought to be the victim of a healthy attacking depth displayed at the club, who can call on the exciting prospects Gabriel Barbosa, Geuvanio and Brazil cap Leandro Damiao.

Andrade had been on the fringes of the Brazil under-20 set-up, but failed to get called up for their recent Toulon tournament victory in France, missing out to the likes of Thalles and Ademilson for a place in head coach Alexandre Gallo’s final squad.
