Colombia midfielder James Rodríguez was surprised to learn he had beaten Didier Drogba to a header.

The 22 year-old got in front of Drogba at a corner to open the scoring for Colombia in their Group C tie against Ivory Coast.

The Tricolor would go on to win 2-1 and Rodríguez admitted after the game that he was “even happier” to learn that he had managed to out jump Drogba.

“No way! Was that Drogba who was marking me?”, he said, as reported by FIFA.com. “That makes me even happier. I’m just happy to score and help my team get the win.”

Colombia sit top of Group C with six points. They are guaranteed a place in the knock-out stages after Japan drew 0-0 against Greece.
