Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari managed to enjoy a day away from the trials and tribulations of the World Cup following his team’s 0-0 draw with Mexico in Fortaleza on Tuesday evening.

‘Big Phil’ stayed in the state of Ceara and visited the town of Fortim with his wife Olga, as the pair enjoyed a bit of rare down time inthe wake of Brazil’s second Group A fixture.

And Scolari will have had plenty to think about in terms of selection for their next game against Cameroon on Monday, with questions being raised over the perfromances of Paulinho and Fred, amongst others.

The owner of a local hotel in Fortim, Eva Albuquerque, told lancenet.com: “He took pictures with some people and signed autographs for kids who were talking to him. It’s not often that you see Scolari here.”

The match against Cameroon takes place at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia in four days’ time, kick off 2100 GMT.
