Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo has said in the aftermath of the goalless draw with Mexico that there are no easy games during the World Cup and that his team will continue to work together in order to progress in the tournament.

26 year-old Gustavo, one of the many Brazilian players to put in an average performance, told a post-match press conference that: “It was a great football game, two teams trying to gain from the first to last minute.”

“I believe that our team gave everything they had to give, and the opponent did too, so the game was very difficult.”

“But this is the World Cup, the whole point is hotly contested and that’s what happened today.”

“Certainly the team has evolved. Each game will be harder than the last game. We saw it today. Croatia was difficult, today was even more and the difficulty will increase. Our goal is to always keep evolving.”
