Brazil midfielder oscar has spoken of the pain at missing out on Olympic Gold two years ago in London and insisted that he is under no illusions as to how difficult tonight’s game with Mexico will be.

A star-studded Selecao, containing captain Thiago Silva, Neymar and Oscar, went down to the Mexicans in the final game of that competition and the Chelsea playmaker told reporters: “Of course I was very sad.”

“It is a medal that Brazil has never won and we lost the final. Mexico are a very good team. I just hope the Selecao, in the next Olympics (in Rio de Janeiro), can win Gold.”

“Tuesday’s game will certainly be as difficult as last year (in the Confederations Cup). In the World Cup there is an extra desire to win and I hope we can do the same again this time. Mexico are a very different side to Croatia. They play the ball out from the back well and are very good on the counter attack.”
