Brazil Head Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is confident Portugal can recover from their heavy defeat to Germany.
Paulo Bento’s side were hammered 4-0 in their Group G opener, but Felipão, who coached them between 2003 and 2008, expects them to recovery and insists they can win their next two matches.
“I should like to remind Portugal and my Portuguese friends that at EURO 2004, when I was coach, we lost our opening group game and then won the others to qualify for the second phase,” he said, as reported by FIFA.com.
“Portugal must put this defeat behind them and get a win in their next game and then win again in the third game to go through. Portugal have the team to come through.”
