Brazil defender Henrique says that his team’s sole focus is on escaping Group A and not who they may or may not face in the second round of the FIFA World Cup in two weeks’ time.

The Napoli centre back, who can also operate in the middle of the park, told reporters before Brazil’s game with Mexico tomorrow night: “Spain have great tradition and can move into the second phase.”

“However, we have to focus on the next match against Mexico. Then we’ll think about what’s next.”

“So far, nothing has been decided between Chile, the Netherlands and Spain (in Group B). They would all be dangerous.”

The hosts have always known that a tricky second round fixture will await them, but the Dutch demolition of reigning champions Spain has seen the most likely secenario as pitting Brazil with Vicente del Bosque’s side for a place in the quarter finals.
