The Central Americans won 1-0 at Arena das Dunas in Natal on Friday.

Oribe Peralta stabbed home a second half winner for Mexico, with Cameroon’s defenders stood like statues as former Tottenham striker, Giovani dos Santos, hit a shout that rebounded off the goalkeeper.

After the dubious penalty awarded to Brazil in the World Cup opener, there was further controversy in this game, with two dos Santos efforts ruled out by the referee.

Brazil will take on Mexico in Fortaleza on Tuesday.
