São Paulo forward Alexandre Pato has admitted he could be interested in a return to Italy.

The 24 year-old spent six years with Milan before moving to Corinthians in January 2013 for €15 million.

Pato endured unhappy time with the Timão and eventually left for São Paulo in February.

Despite making the move, Pato is still struggling to find his best form and with the European transfer window set to open in the coming months, reports have linked him with a move to Napoli – a switch he apparently seems open to.

“Italy is marvellous and still remains in my heart,” he told La Gazzetta del Sud, as reported by Football Italia.

“A return? We’ll see what happens.”

Pato has scored two goals in eight appearances for São Paulo in the 2014 Brasileirão. Muricy Ramalho’s side are currently 4th in the standings.
