With the World Cup just a day away, Brazilian Ronaldo has been discussing his goalscoring record and his worry that it will be beaten at the upcoming tournament.

Ronaldo netted 15 times in four World Cups but German Miroslav Klose is just behind on 14.

Klose has been selected for the German squad and has a great chance of equaling and bettering the retired Brazilians record.

If that was to happen, the 37-year-old wouldn’t begrudge Klose.

Football Italia quoted Ronaldo after he spoke to Gazetta dello Sport, he said: “If someone goes past me, then so be it. I too went past someone and I don’t assume that record will last forever.

“Klose can go past me, but that will not take away from anything I did with the national team.”
