The Spanish club has announced that it has agreed a deal for Guilherme Siqueira.
The 28-year-old left-back, who was on loan at Benfica from Granada last season, will now undergo a medical in Madrid.
José Luis Perez Caminero, Atlético’s sporting director, said: “He is a very good player on the ball, a good penalty taker, a full-back with a lot of great offensive and defensive virtues. He was an excellent buy.”
The transfer fee for the Brazilian has not been disclosed but lance!net reports that it will be in the region of €10 million.
