Brazil play their final friendly match this evening against Serbia in the last chance for head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to test his side ahead of the World Cup.

Seleção will kick start the World Cup next Thursday against Croatia and Scolari is expected to start this strongest XI this evening in preparation for that fixture.

Whoever starts at the Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo will know they have a fantastic chance of playing in the World Cup opener but for those on the bench, this will be a final opportunity to show Felipão why they should start.

Neymar, Brazil’s main attacking star, will play and he will want to show everyone that he is fully recovered from the injuries that curtailed his club season with Barcelona.

Oscar missed training recently as his wife gave birth to his baby girl called Julia but the Chelsea midfielder is expected to start this evening.

Thiago Silva and Paulinho sat out Tuesday’s comfortable 4-0 victory over Panama but they will both return this evening and Scolari has pinpointed Serbia’s Lazar Marković as a man to watch.

Ljubinko Drulović’s Serbia team will be hoping to provide Brazil with a stern test but whilst Seleção will expect for a competitive match, they’ll be predicted to win emphatically and add to the anticipation building with the World Cup less than a week away.

Brazil v Chile will be played at Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo, São Paulo and will kick off 8:00pm UK time.

Predicted starting XI: Júlio César, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Luiz Gustavo, Oscar, Paulinho, Fred, Neymar, Hulk.
