Pelé warns Neymar to keep his cool and stay on his feet during the World Cup
Brazil legend Pelé has warned Neymar to keep his cool and cut out the diving ahead of the World Cup.
The 73-year-old told Bild Sport that the Barcelona man has a lot to learn before he can accomplish what is expected of him.
Goal.com quoted the legendary Brazilian, Pelé said: "He still has to overcome some obstacles, especially win a World Cup to be the best player in the world.
"He needs to change though. Neymar needs to get his emotions under control and keep a cool head in duels.”
The three-time World Cup winner went on to label Neymar’s poor diving antics as an area that needs to be cut out of his game.
Pelé does feel the 22-year-old’s move to Barcelona will help eradicate those antics though, he added: "He has to learn to play standing up. He must not go down too fast.
“Therefore, the transfer to Barcelona was the best thing that could happen for Brazil as teams in Europe play harder, the defenders stay tighter to the man.
"He is on a good path. But he's still far off what I expected of him."
