FIFA have revealed the most recent World Rankings ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and there has been some significant movement inside the top ten.

The hosts of the World Cup, Brazil, have leapfrogged Portugal (4th) in the standings to move up to 3rd place but the leading two; Spain and Germany in 1st and 2nd respectively remain in their usual positions with a hefty lead over the rest.

Argentina and Switzerland complete the top six – with La Albiceleste in 5th place, moving up two positions and the Swiss also up two places in 6th.

Uruguay and Colombia have both moved down and are 7th and 8th while Italy have remained in 9th position. Finally England moved up one place to complete the top 10 ahead of the World Cup.
