Brazil talisman Neymar, who grabbed his 31st international goal i the 4-0 World Cup warm-up win over Panama in Goiania last night, has told the country’s fervent support that the team will peak come their Group A opener with Croatia on June 12 in Sao Paulo.

The 22 year-old Barcelona star was speaking with the media after last night’s game and said: “We need the fans to be a bit more patient. They were booing us at the start.”

“Once we picked up the pace of the game, and we got used to the field, we got better and we imposed our rhythm on them and got goals.”

On his own match sharpness, after missing a large chunk of Barcelona’s second half of the season with a foot injury, Neymar added: “I’m not ready physically. I lack game time, but there’s still time to improve because the first game is nine days away.”

Brazil’s final warm-up game comes on Friday evening against Serbia in the Morumbi stadium in Sao Paulo.
